Our Story

SEMPER FIDELIS — ALWAYS FAITHFUL

New Ulster began as a discussion focused on on politics, history, and identity.

Dissatisfied with the political direction of Canada, the founders of New Ulster wanted a way to express that frustration while also building a positive alternative, and creating an example of what could be.

New Ulster campaigns to promote real links with our collective history and heritage, and to practice civil society and liberal democracy in a way the founders increasingly feel is lost in modern Canada (and the West in general).

We challenge the prevailing notion of change for its own sake and the increasingly dystopian and authoritarian drift in the world, where the past is vilified and erased, and the future is built on unquestionable dogma.

We agree the way things are today could be better. But we also believe our future lies with our past, learning the lessons history has to offer, and we are proud to be a force for positive transformation toward those ideals.
